We can provide professional support to advise and organise your project from start to finish dealing with the overall planning, co-ordination and control of the project from inception to completion to produce a functional and financially viable project that will be completed on time within authorised costs and to the required quality standards.
Generally, when engaged as the contract administrator, Broadland Surveys will address the following points, this list is a guide and would be tailored for each individual project, large or small.
- Feasibility and cost effectiveness of the project
- Produce detailed drawings if required
- Determine a specification for the materials to be utilised
- Obtain tenders for the works
- Selection of a suitable contractor and sub-contractors
- Advise on the selection of finishes, equipment
- Agree a time scale for the project and the order in which the works are constructed
- Liaise with statutory bodies: planning, building control, water authority, highways, etc.
- Supervise the building works as the contract proceeds, quality control, security, safety
- Keep the client informed on progress
- Inform the contractor of variations requested by the client
- Carry out regular site inspections and monthly site meetings with principle contractors
- Payment schedule and approval of interim payments
- Completion, guarantees, commissioning of services, handover, snagging
