The Service we Offer

Make an initial visit and advise on the viability of the proposed project, obtain a brief from the client regarding the scope of the work to be designed, converted, built, modernised, etc. This can often be done over the phone.

Agree a fee to produce the drawings for planning and building regulation approval and confirm the fees that will be charged in addition by the local authority. Inform the client that additional costs will be incurred if the service of a structural engineer or specialist is subsequently found to be necessary e.g. steelwork, foundation piling etc. this service is not usually required but in some circumstances becomes an essential part of the design process.

Carry out a detailed survey of the existing property with a digital photographic record.

Produce draft CAD drawings and submit them to the client for approval, making any changes or alterations until the client is satisfied.

Produce final drawings and specification for submission to the local authority for planning and building regulation approval.

Fees for the work are now due, together with fees payable to the local authority. On receipt, all the necessary application forms will be completed and your drawings submitted for approval.

Broadland Surveys will then act as your agent, dealing with any queries from the planning dept. building control, highways etc. if they arise. Any changes or alterations will be referred to the client for approval, we supply copies of the building plans for the clients use/records/builders etc in paper form or on cd.

Approved and officially stamped copies of the drawings and documents will be forwarded as soon as they are received.
